Corinthian Capitals from the Temple of Hercules, Rome by ortygia on Flickr.
Two Corinthian capitals from the Temple of Hercules in the Forum Boarium of Rome. These appear to be Heilmeyer’s Group B/C of the Tiberian period. That is, later replacements of the original Pentelic capitals those here are of Luna marble).
The most important monograph on the temple is:
F. Rakob and W-D Heilmeyer, Der Rundtempel am Tiber in Rom (Mainz am Rhein 1973)
